This last month has exposed people for who they are and what they really believe in.

Heartbreaking the lack of “friends” who have checked in or even showed support.

Heartbreaking the selective activism from all those who felt the pressure during other movements, like BLM, to post in support, but now when Palestinians are begging you to post on social media, there is only silence. You cannot fight for one cause and stay silent in another. You have shown your support for past causes is only for show.

This time is very telling and if you are still willingly choosing silence, SHAME.

We will not forget. Be on the right side of history.

Woke up today feeling very grateful for everything

Woke up today feeling very grateful for everything that I have. This year has been extremely challenging on all of us, but I’m so grateful for everything that I had to go through to get me to where I am now.

This year has forced us all to spend a lot of time with ourselves. It’s allowed me to really get to know myself, to be comfortable with myself, and to love myself. I am a firm believer that we should all try to grow and be a better version of ourselves every single day. I can’t tell you the growth that I experienced this year. I’m not the same person that I was at the start of this year. Hell, I’m not the same person I was a few months ago. And I’m so thankful for that.

Remember to take care of yourself above all else. Self care is so so important. Self love is the most valuable thing we have. So many things are possible when you truly love and trust yourself. It takes a lot of strength to wake up everyday and choose yourself, but the outcome is so beautiful. Keep moving forward. One step at a time. You’re so powerful when you respect yourself.

I don’t want to make this super long, so I’ll leave you with one of my fave quotes:

“Carry your chin in and the crown of your head high. We are gods in the chrysalis.”
